-Wood floors or neutral carpet
-Clean
-Dual pane windows
-No swimming pool
-Fenced in backyard
-Kitchen cabinetry in good condition
-No tile countertops
-Inside laundry room
House Hunting Day 12 – Criteria
-3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, single family home
-No homeowners association fees
-Nice neighborhood
-Close to work
-Single story
-Floors… there should be some
-Clean…ish
-Windows… there should be some of these too
-No swimming pool… well maybe we could tear that above ground one out…
-Kitchen cabinetry that still has doors
-Countertops intact and present
-Laundry hookups somewhere
House Hunting Day 27 – Criteria
-3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, single family home
-No homeowners association fees over $150 a month
-Nice neighborhood
-Close-ish to work… a 30 minute drive is okay, right?
-Single story… maybe a second story is okay…
-Floors… well I guess we can install those later…
-Cleanable… maybe. If those stains in the tub don’t come out it won’t be the end of the world, right?
-Windows… we can cover those with plastic until we can afford new panes. Summer is almost here anyway…
-Maybe we could use that swimming pool for skateboarding?
-Kitchen cabinetry… at least the bases, we can always get new doors later…
-Countertops… it will be nice to be able to pick out our own, I guess…
-This bathtub looks large enough to wash 20 pairs of jeans by hand easily!
House Hunting Day 38 – Criteria
-A room to sleep in. A room to shower in. Anything else is just icing on the cake…
-No meth houses on this street? Sold!
-Well… it’s not a landfill… I’m sure we can get this cleaned up…
House Hunting Day 47 – Criteria
-Walls, a roof… yes, this is most definitely some kind of building that one can live in.
-Oh man, they responded to our offer? It is actually possible to purchase this house? Sold!
I would be happy with the possibility of the bank maybe calling us back if they feel that they have the time.
